Overnight Trips

Overnight field trips are a rewarding experience for any classroom of students, especially those in 5th grade or higher. Students experience fun and learning through hands-on explorations, try new outdoor skills and interact with each other in ways that are difficult to recreate in the classroom or on a one-day field trip.

Food

There is no need to worry about planning a menu or buying groceries. Camp Wartburg has options available if your group requires meals. Camp meals are healthy, kid approved and served in our dining hall upon request.

Housing and Meeting Space

Camp Wartburg facilities are available year round, with accommodations for both warm and cold weather. Housing is primarily bunk-style with in-cabin restrooms and showers. Visit our facilities page for more information.

Activities

Camp provides a wide variety of activity options. Teachers can lead their own activities, or request programs led by our trained staff. Sessions led by Camp Wartburg staff are designed to integrate both fun and learning; they include games, informative information and opportunities to apply new understandings though hands-on experiences. Our sessions are also aligned to State Learning standards.

Customized Programs

Is there an outdoor activity or topic you would like your students to explore on a field trip, only it is not one of our typical sessions? Our staff would be glad to discuss it with you in advance to determine how we can make that happen.
